Dr. Jonathan Shiels, D.C.
Dr. Shiels graduated from Life University Chiropractic College following a 4-year intensive program as a doctor of Chiropractic. He is a board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and a member of Fibromyalgia Centers of America, the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, International Chiropractic Alliance, and the Georgia Council of Chiropractic.
As a chiropractic student, he completed an extensive postgraduate training by becoming a member of KCUCS (Knee Chest Upper Cervical Specific) and receiving an Advanced Certificate in upper cervical adjusting and analysis. This has allowed him to successfully address issues such as ADHD, colic, GERD, constipation, infertility, headaches, indigestion, fibromyalgia, and a multitude of other conditions. He is currently working towards a Master’s in the same program. As an intern, he worked directly with practicing chiropractors to deliver the highest quality patient care. He is also mentored underclassmen by teaching classes in chiropractic technique. As a chiropractic student, Dr. Shiels traveled to Guatemala City on a chiropractic mission trip. While there, he provided chiropractic services to a community that had no other access to chiropractic care.
Dr. Shiels’ experiences have given him a great opportunity to learn to care for a wide variety of ailments from which his patients may suffer. His mission is to restore health through natural chiropractic care, allowing his patients to live their lives to the fullest through Upper Cervical Specific work.
Dr. Shiels’ grew up in Boulder Colorado and served on the Boulder County Sheriff’s Department for 14 years where he specialized as a Field Training Officer, SWAT team member , and a K-9 handler and trainer. Dr. Shiels received the Medal of Valor while serving on the Sheriff’s Department. He has been married to his wife Terri for 13 years. She is a pharmacist at Walgreens in Kingsland, Georgia. His passion and prayerful longing for true community has led them to wonderful Camden County.
